    Terms of Service

    Scope of Service
    Consultations are conducted via phone at the time specified when scheduling. I will call the phone number provided here for "Parent/Guardian 1" at that time. I will attempt to call 3 times over the course of 10 minutes, after which, if there is no answer, the appointment will be considered cancelled.
    I will be available to you by phone for the entire duration of your scheduled appointment.

    Consultations are intended to support your personal decision-making process as a parent and caregiver. I will provide, as appropriate, information about child development; anecdotes and explanations rooted in our my related experiences; relevant research; an opportunity for reflecting together on your specific child and questions; and time to problem-solve collaboratively. If appropriate, we may develop a plan of action together that you can choose to implement at your own discretion.

    Any information, advice or services provided are not intended to replace medical advice, and should not be relied upon as such. You should always seek the advice of your medical practitioner and should consult with your child's physician or other healthcare professional if you have any healthcare related questions or concerns generally, before implementing any other advice or approach, or if you are concerned about any risks to your child's health or well-being.

    Fee & Payment Schedule
    The fees for On Demand Phone Consultations are $75 for 30 minutes and $140 for 60 minutes. The fee for a Comprehensive Consultation is $250 and includes an initial email exchange, a 1 hour phone consultation, a follow up email with written notes and resources based on the conversation, and a 30 minute follow up call 7-14 days later.
    Payment is due in full upon scheduling.

    Rescheduling & Cancellations
    Consultations may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the appointment time. Cancellations will be charged at the full cost of service.

    Confidentiality
    Babies and Toddlers Understood LLC respects your privacy and agrees not to disclose any information we learn about you or your child. Occasionally, we may use anecdotes drawn from our work with clients in other consultations, workshops, classes or written materials. We will never pair an anecdote with a child or parent's name or other identifying information. You agree to keep the information we exchange confidential, and to disclose it only to family members or caregivers responsible in caring for your child.

    General Terms
    Children's behavior is affected by multiple and varied factors. Babies and Toddlers Understood LLC cannot guarantee any specific results or changes. Babies and Toddlers Understood LLC will, however, work with you over the course of multiple sessions that you can book as desired, to address further questions. As a policy, we do not offer refunds for services.

    The limit of our liability to you or to any third party concerning the performance of our services, or in any manner related to this agreement, for any and all potential claims, shall not in the aggregate exceed the fees paid by you to Babies and Toddlers Understood LLC. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
